I really do not know how to start this blog post, but I am choosing to type (speak) from the heart.
How did I get here...? I could only imagine what my younger self is feeling about who and what I have become thus far. I am inspired to have a conversation with her....that little girl with high hopes and dreams. When did I stop daydreaming?
Sometimes in life we just have to step back and put things in God's focus. You cannot figure out life on your own and neither can you live this life with peace, love, power, joy, happiness, and sound mind without God. As I pour out, I pray that you gain a new perspective and this helps you in your life as well. I love you all.
Let's just be honest....
I commend you for your ability to never give up. However, I do not like what I see. You cry and worry way too much over things that God has given you the power to speak over. This fight is not yours. Hand it over....to GOD!
I commend you for your ability to figure everyone else out and hold their deepest treasures. However, when are you going to look at me in the mirror? Stop being insecure. You are enough. You are rare for all the right reasons. God made you beautiful. You are fearfully and wonderfully made.
I commend you for surviving thus far, but it is time to live. Yes a lot is at stake but the crown of life is worth so much more. You are a ruby...more than diamonds and pearls.
I admire your giving heart and spirit. However, when will you put your gifts to good use? This little girl is cheering and waiting on you. God needs you to push through.
God has given you a voice not just to sing but to speak for those that walk/tip toe in silence. For those women who know there is something missing but cannot seem to put it into words. You are a wife and a mother. Your wait is the time to serve. These gifts are not your own.
You can have a life of FreeDom if you start to believe like you used to. See, this is nothing new for you. People see your light but you continue to allow it to dim. The enemy has been on your trail this whole time. BUT for once and for all, it is time to STAND UP & OUT!!!
Sing like never before, Teach like never before. Speak like never before. Write it like never before.
This is our time...I am just here to remind you, QUEEN.
I will make you proud little girl :) My words are coming into action and I aint got no worries. I am a QUEEN. I have a Father in heaven that loves me more than any man can. He is waiting on me. Blessings will pour and this moment will be marked down in my story as the day of breakthrough and overcome. The day that changed everything. The start of my new book and my new day. I declare I am awake and willing to run with God until eternity :)
Hope you, yes you ;), reading this feels the same way and speak these similar declarations over your life. God wants to bless you...what are you willing to sacrifice? What is your inner little boy or little girl hope for you? Are you making them proud today?
Peace to you and love always - Dominique

Happy Fathers' Day!!!
Thank you God for making this Fathers' Day a great one. It was so peaceful. This year marked 2 years since my dad passed and being able to have this day of peace and reflection of his life and all he was to me as a father on earth...all I can say is thank you God!! God, You allowed me to have a dad in my life. I cherish all the wisdom, fun memories, and his unforgettable presence and spirit.
I hope everyone enjoyed this day with their fathers. If not, I hope you made this day a great one. It is blessing to be alive. Do not take it for granted...not one second. It is so much better to smile and rejoice in the day God has made. :)

Let's Talk: Forgiveness
"And when you stand praying, if you hold anything against anyone, forgive them, so that your Father in heaven may forgive you your sins.” (Mark 11:25)
We all have our shortcomings and struggles. This life can truly be a fight. Apart of this fight to keep pressing forward is forgiveness. It is a definite way to show you are an heir of God. God loved us by offering His son as a living sacrifice for our sins. Surely, you can forgive your brothers and sisters here on earth by removing grudges and releasing your internal bitterness towards whomever. It does not matter how harsh the doing was towards you, you have to release yourself and forgive.
Forgiveness is truly for you. You have a life to live that cannot prosper with the weight of unforgiveness hindering God's blessings for you.
When you forgive, it is not only an opportunity to set yourself free of the past, but it may open the dialogue in some cases to bring others to Christ. Ultimately, this is the end goal.
Whatever God requires, I am willing to obey. Are you?!
This world is already too full with bitterness and strife. I do not want to add to the pot and I hope you want better for yourself and this world too.
So on this beautiful Sunday, I hope that you forgive those that have done wrong by you and keep them lifted in prayer. God will honor this act and bless you.
Read: Colossians 1:13-14; Matthew 6:9-15; ; John 3:16
I hope everyone is having a great Sunday. I love you all!

Let's Talk: Worry
Do not worry about tomorrow, today has worries of its own. (Read Matthew 6:34)
I am definitely guilty of worrying about things I have no control over or that are avoidable. Worrying is not healthy and only leaves you in disgust or worse, depression.
Some worries are avoidable like being prepared for a test final. Living a carefree life is a choice and right at your fingertips if you are willing to put in the work. When you put in the work, you have no time to worry.
Some worries are uncontrollable like when a love one is in the hospital. When traumatic things happen in our lives, it can feel like a set back and in an instance, everything you thought life was is not. Everything is upside down. Even in those moments, God presents Himself as a present help. Nothing in life has to be faced alone. God is always there.
Try to remember to live in today's moment. You have the right to feelings and emotions in their right time and place. However, the key to any worry, big or small, is to pray and trust in God.
You can choose to let your worries bring you close to God or away from Him. I have learned to trust God in one of my imperfections, worry. He has shown Himself over and over as a comforter and friend.
Meditate on these scriptures: Proverbs 12:25; Psalm 55:22; Matthew 6: 25-34; Matthew 11: 28:30; Proverbs 3:5-6; Philippians 4:6-7
I love you all! Hope you are enjoying your Sunday and weekend :)

Let's Talk: DO NOT Give Up! (Affirmations)
Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up. (Galatians 6:9)
God's word stands on its own.
This is definitely my season of learning and growing in the present moment. No more are the days that I will dwell on the past or ponder the future.
________________________________________________________________
I speak these affirmations over my life, and you can use them in yours as well. :)
My work, the words from my mouth, and my walk will and is showing the true works of God. I am a goddess, an heir of the King, GOD! (Read: Galatians 3:26-28; James 2:17-18)
I am taking responsibility for my actions and working unto the Lord. (Read: Colossians 3:23-24; Ephesians 6:7)
I do not compete or try to follow man's way of living. God is doing new things. (Read: Galatians 1:10; Romans 12:2)
I am allowing room for God to handle what He does best. Only God knows the plans. (Read: Jeremiah 29:11)
My dry bones are coming to life. (Read: Ezekiel 37)
I am no longer afraid of loneliness because I am never alone. God is with me. (Read: Deuteronomy 31:6)
I am walking boldly and confidently in my destiny and purpose in God. (Read: Exodus 9:16: Proverbs 19:21: Jeremiah 15:11)
I am not getting older...I am renewing. All will and is restored. (Read: Psalm 51:10; Isaiah 40:31; Lamentations 5:21; 2 Corinthians 13:11)
________________________________________________________________
I have never wanted God so much. I have never thirsted for His presence as I do now. For that, I view my circumstances and environment through a different perspective and I am loving the new ways I am hearing God. Nothing is impossible for Him. He is truly amazing. When I thought I had life figured out, He comes to show me new things. It is a wonderful adventure, and I am looking forward to laughing with no cares. He has given me visions and dreams that I cannot fathom right now. I am not perfect and He takes all my imperfections and makes them great. He uses all of my life not just the parts that are pretty (lol). He is working with and for me. What a joyous time and place to be in my life right now where I literally have no other options But God!
One step at a time. Piece by piece. Thought by thought. Day by day. I do not allow my mind to wonder too long. The word of God is my sword and is a treasure to my life. God is truly an ever present help.
I am in preparation mode. All things are coming together the way God plans. Everything is working for me by faith and for His purpose. (Read: Romans 8:28)
I am grateful for divine connections and the convictions God is using to correct and discipline my mind.
It is not easy not even for one second but this challenge (opportunity) is worth not giving up for. From me to you...Do not give up!

Let's Talk: It's Not Easy
Life hits each of us in different ways.
Perspective is everything.
Life and death is truly in the power of the tongue.
What you say, you become. I know this has been said many times but it's biblical and the truth.
God makes it so simple for us but we choose sometimes to make it complicated.
I believe you and I have the power to speak life over our lives and nothing is impossible for God.
The key is having faith when everything around you says the opposite of the promises God has given you.
I definitely do not have all the answers, but I have been choosing everyday to keep pressing forward.
You have to start small. You have to allow God to handle ALL things. This is key.
God made the seas and placed each star in the sky. Surely, He can make your life brand new and open doors in an instant. But can He trust you with your bank account? Can He trust you with the little things? Are you living by your own might? Examine all areas of your life and make sure God is the center of all.
What are you doing now? What do you want for your life? What is God calling you to do? Do you know who you? These are questions each of us has to come to grips with in order to live life in its fullness.
What is your mind telling you and what are you feeding it daily? Are you praying consistently?
I'm a work in progress. I'm not perfect. I don't know anything fully. I'm simply a willing vessel for God.
It takes time. Be patient enough to try to get it right.
If it comes too easy, it's questionable. You are worth the time.
Most importantly, enjoy time with God and build your relationship with Him. He really wants to blow your mind. Let Him (God).
Read: Hebrews 11:1; Galatians 3:22; James 1:6; Mark 11:24; Matthew 15:28; Proverbs 18:21; Jeremiah 29:11; Genesis 18:14; Job 42:2
You are not in this journey alone. I know this world is ever changing but your strength should come from God. Don't try to do this life on your own. Reach out to Him for help and watch Him order your steps.
I love you.

Let's Talk: It's time to MOVE
As my birthday approaches (Sunday, May 8th - Mother's Day!), I am of course excited yet unsure about what life will bring. As I grow older birthdays have become a reminder of my past accomplishments and all the things I want to accomplish in the new year. BUT I want to change this mindset up this year. I want better and something new.
Reminder: In order to see different results, it requires something deeper and different from me.
I want to change the mindset of dwelling on the past and get moving because I am realizing that this does not allow me to really live in the moment and appreciate the gift of living. Yes God wants you to press towards the mark. However he does not want you to be consumed. I am created in Free-Dom!!! (Read 2 Corinthians 3:17)
Being consumed only brings me back to overthinking and being stuck. Yet, living in the moment sparks the opportunity to live life in freedom and not in fear of the outcome. I am making a public challenge to myself to take risks (not planned) and allow God to work. I have tried to control everything. Trying (and I do mean trying because I always fail/crash) to control everything leaves you exhausted and overwhelmed.
Being exhausted, overwhelmed, and worse depressed stunts movement. It is my time to MOVE!
I know I am not the only one that is in this season of transition and knowing that it is time for something new for your life. God's original purpose for us all is to dominate, flourish, multiply, and subdue the earth. God planted the seed in each of us and He simply wants us to obey and walk freely. (Read Genesis 1: 26-31; Galatians 5:1; Psalm 119:45)
Some examples you and I can do to start moving are 1. picking up an old hobby or creating a new one, 2. exercising, 3. investing in myself/yourself (taking self assessments, getting a life coach, or investing in a self development course online). (Read Ephesians 3:12)
What are some ways you can get started on moving?
God wants you to just take the first steps and He will definitely order all your ways. He does not want His child to try to figure everything out. We are not designed to know every detail. He has designed us to be a vessel. He will supply every need and even surpass your wants. (Read Proverbs 3:5-6; Romans 6:22; John 8:36; Psalm 37:4)
On that note, be blessed and get moving :) We are in this together. Let me know some ways you move and if this was encouraging for you. I love you!!!
Side-note: please accept this post as an early Sunday post due to Mother's Day and my birthday :)!!!!! (Oh Yea!!!...lol)

Soon it will be over...long time coming :)
I know it has been a little while. These days have been filled with wonder, confusion, and deep thought. I am happy though to say I am becoming more at peace and content with life's situations and problems. I am starting now to not sweat the small stuff and am realizing everything truly happens for a reason.
My mind has been focused on finding my purpose, true joy, and what makes me happy. What makes me happy is helping others, singing for God, and staying close to the ones who truly love and care for me. Nothing else matters...really.
Cliches aren't just simple cliches that are sparked from thin air. They are relative to every day life and will make sense in due time.
As I move forward, my prayer is that I never lose this feeling and moment. I pray I can share my whole story one day and feel no remorse or shame.
I am a work in progress but steady moving forward. I pray you are doing the same.
*Side note: I will be done with that work situation 3/31/12. I will update you guys on that and everything it has taught me.
Well love you all :) xoxo

It's March!
I cant believe it is March already and I do welcome it in because I am ready for the weather change.
This month I plan on finally getting out through "it" with ease, patience, and strength. I feel like it has been a long time coming but I know this situation will get better. I plan on stressing less, drinking more water, and getting back to my workout routine. I think I will just keep it simple for now since Weight Watchers didnt work for me (I believe it still can work but its just not for me right now...my work life will not allow it).
Well...HAPPY MARCH!!!

Speak Up! Pt. 2
Ever had a situation bring everything into full circle?
Well, right now I feel like I am going through that situation right now. I am being put in situations that have definitely caused me to think...seriously think. It is really putting things into perspective.
I was granted an opportunity (or at the time I thought was an opportunity) through work that I figured would show my abilities within my scope. Needless to say, it is the total opposite. So far, I have been given things that I would categorize as work that no one else wants to do. It literally brought me to tears because here I am this guinea pig trying to make it work because I am thinking "oh this is my opportunity" to advance, to show my abilities.
What Ive learned so far is you have to speak up. You may think that just because you are told to do something, it means you have to do it. Not correct even if it is in a working environment. Never go beyond your means or job description. Everyone in that environment makes a check just like you and you cant allow people to use you because they have set in their mind "oh she'll do it." People will be people and will take advantage of you if you allow them to. NO! The answer is no.
All my life I have been a "yesman". That stops now!
Speaking up caused me to see that yes I was given tasks out of my scope and it gave clarity so that the next person does not have to deal with what I went through.
Speaking up made me feel better and helped me to sleep better at night.
Long story short, I cannot wait until February is over so that I can get out of this situation. Never again!
So the moral of the story is dont let people/money deter you from your mental health and standing for yourself. I would much rather have good health and a peace of mind than a million dollars in the bank...think about it.
Hope this makes sense. There is only so much I can tell...you never know whose reading:)

So the moral of the story is dont let people/money deter you from your mental health and standing for yourself. I would much rather have good health and a peace of mind than a million dollars in the bank...think about it.
Hope this makes sense. There is only so much I can tell...you never know whose reading:)

conclusion.
today i came to the conclusion that no matter how you may try to make something work, it never will if it is not meant to be. sometimes decisions come our way that look like they may be beneficial to you, but every opportunity that knocks just may not be meant to be answered but simply ignored. no matter how hard it knocks, remember another opportunity will come knocking another day.
i guess it is safe to say, i know what i want...thats for sure. so i every experience has a purpose and a lesson to be learned. just make sure you take notes.

Speak Up!
Sometimes you have to voice your inside concerns. You should never feel it is ok to be run over or misunderstood. People cant read minds. They barely can read books. Think about it....lesson learned:)

Today's Motto
Motto - Place your best foot forward at all times...you never know when you may have to back track.
One thing that I have learned from this life is you always have to remain positive because all in all, you will make it! It is just a matter of when. You dont know what opportunity awaits, so you must always be on your best behavior:)

be patient.
this first week of the new year has really shown me that through patience you can allow your life to fall in its rightful place. we pray and hope that God listens but we forget the fact that He is there all the time. this week started off on 1/1/12 with my girls. we connected for one of my friends b-day and it really and truly made me feel grateful and appreciative for the few friends i do have. it is just amazing to see how far we all have come (all college graduates...whoop whoop!!!). i am so proud of each and every one of them and i know God has so many things in store for them. somehow i could feel the genuineness (if thats a word lol) and the unspoken bond. God i thank U right now!!! later on in this week i started back at work with a new attitude and an open mind. with that said, by letting go of figuring out what was next for me and giving it completely to God, it has definitely been a weight off my shoulders. i know this sounds like a ramble but if you've made it this far, there is a moral...just wait for it lol. on Wednesday, i was able to link up with a lady i have been looking up to since my permanent start with the job i am at now and finally i asked her to be my mentor. she accepted and Lord knows it can only get better for me. hopefully i will be able to decide if where i am now is where i will ultimately be. same day, i was granted an opportunity to give support on a major project that im sure if everything goes well, it will attest to my capability and could help me further my career (i can do ALL things through Christ that strengthens me!!!). the opportunity started the next day, Thursday. if you know me well, i am very anxious, indifferent, and excited all at once when something like this happens to me. Wednesday night my stomach was in knots. i even contemplated about giving a reason why i shouldnt take the opportunity. dare i say i was fearful and all the "i can do all things through Christ that strengthens me" was out the window. but God willing i was successful on Thursday and cannot wait to continue and learn as much as possible from the experience.
the moral of the story is let it go and give it to God completely, not partially, not 50%, not 99.9%, but COMPLETELY. let Him fulfill your dreams. He will not allow you stay in one place forever but you gotta be patient! i know bad days come and Lord knows i have had my few but through it all, God was there all the time. so my mindset now and going forward is through every test, struggle, or situation, God has complete control even though you may feel you have some control. He knows all. one day you could be living under a bridge and the next you are the president of the U.S.A. (i know thats a stretch...but thats just the God i believe i serve). put all your trust in Him and watch Him work.

i dont know what to think...if something makes you unhappy day in day out, it would seem the answer would be to let it go or change it BUT it is so not that simple...we'll see after tomorrow what my mind tells me...

this past week was crazy...
At work, I have been given more responsibility and so far, I will say that I am handling it well BUT let's just say it aint easy holding it all together. When I get home, I am completely flustered and just want to crash hence why my social life suffers (and this blog too). Thursday night it was so bad that I cried. I am laying in my bed trying to fall asleep and it all came at once. The tears just came and honestly, they just literally came and the thoughts came after. There are so many changes going on in my life right now. Most are for the good, I know. BUT, going through this fire is crazy. I know someday I will be pure gold, but the road to get there is very cloudy and smoky (this is the best way I can explain).
My mind is steady moving and it hasnt had the chance to release...I need to get back to that. Back to writing, reading, studying, and above all, back to me.
I would like to pose this question...how do you juggle life's battles? How do you make time for you?
Well until next time ttyl:)

I know it has been a while but...
I have just been working, working, and working...not too much to update on. Well, this past weekend, I got a special delivery. I got a new bedroom set, so I guess working is paying off:)
Ive been trying to get in tune with my purpose. I know it is starring me in the face, but...I have no words.
Here is a new song from Jessica Reedy called "Put it on the Altar"

Today I asked myself this question....
Today was another one of those days. Im not going to make any conclusions until the end of this week because it just may be that I need a day off to recuperate. (cant wait for my day off on Friday!)
