Oh my!

Oh my! I know I was suppose to get back blogging on a consistent basis. I have no excuse to give other than I will try my best and soon this will become apart of who I am as it once was. I was just reading some of my old posts and the thoughts that kept ringing in my head were how fearful and confused I once was. I dont know everything. However, I am thankful that I did write my thoughts out because it showed me that I need to get back to that place of meditation and self-reflection. Little did I know most of my posts would encourage me here and now today. It is amazing how God shows you He is forever, never changing. Through every doubt, fear, confusion, He is right here waiting so patient. Waiting for me to fully receive His joy and love. Well, I declare I am ready and willing.

A little update, I have started graduate school for mental health counseling and though I do not know what the future holds, I am proud of this decision and it is already somehow showing me about myself and where I am mentally in my life. I cant wait to share more regarding this journey.

This year has definitely taught me the importance of living life to my greatest potential without the thoughts and opinions of others. If it makes me happy, I am doing it. I have a choice and I have options. Nothing will stop me as long as I have God on my side. Ready to become all He is calling me to be. So many decisions to make but I refuse to let fear control my life any longer, I am allowing faith to take over.

I know this is a ramble but felt I needed to post.

Long time....Oh how I have missed you.

Hello!

Its been so long since I have been on this blog and wow!...so much has happened since I last posted. I am ready to get back to this journey...fearlessly. To sum it up...things have changed but they have only made me stronger, wiser and better and now more than ever is great time to start back into writing poetry, inspirational posts, and sharing music I love...maybe even sharing a few videos of me singing. Who knows! ;) Missed this site and now I am back at it again.

Hey.

God is in control of all of your dreams, plans and aspirations. We can only see things from our own perspective but God has a bigger plan that we could never understand or comprehend. It is our job to simply place our trust and faith in Him. I know for me it is hard to relinquish all control at times because it is natural for me to be analytical and want all the answers. I even go as far as to make decisions without consulting with Him first. This year I can truly say that I have decided to only place my trust and faith in Him even it doesn't make sense to me or I will be looked at some type of way from people. I strongly encourage you to follow what God tells you to because He is above all things and knows all things and has your best interest at heart. Gods got you no matter what.

Orientation Complete!

I completed my orientation for graduate school and I am so excited.

It feels good to start on a goal and see it come to life. God is so good as always.

I feel like He is giving me another chance and it just simply feels amazing.

As this year comes to a close, I have definitely learned the lesson of purpose, happiness, and strength. I cannot allow myself to step into another year by not being true to myself, grinding for my passion and listening totally to God. Everyone may not agree with the vision given to you but it is your responsibility to answer to the call. I truly believe God gives us chances but if our answer is always "soon I will", "not right now", and/or "I am scared/afraid", how can you expect for Him to continue to give you opportunities? Its time to take life for what it is and live it. Enough of wonder, confusion and doubt!

Faith without work is dead. Believing is an action word, so what are you doing through your life to show you believe? Forgive those who have hurt you. Love those who hate you. Let go and truly let God. As cliche as it sounds, you do only have one life to live, so why not make it worth it?

I have found myself often listening, always wanting validation, and taking the opinions of other people to make decisions for my life. Only to find myself unhappy, more confused, and always taking several steps back. You cant allow other's thoughts and opinions be an excuse for why you are not where you need to be because at the end of the day, God's thoughts of you should be all that matters. He has the ultimate plan over your life. (Jeremiah 29:1 - For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.)

In 2013, I will get back to blogging, lose weight, start graduate school, and make the proper changes so I may make my past self proud. 

Time to get to work! It's time to fulfill dreams, purpose, and visions given to me. Play time is over :)
